The mission of Independence Performing Arts is to provide an inclusive, positive environment to develop life skills, self esteem, and structure through involvement in performing arts programs. Participation facilitates the development of teamwork, respect, sportsmanship, musical and performance abilities.
Cheryl Brossette, Secretary
Ms. Cheryl as she is affectionately known is no stranger to the term “In Service of Others”. As the wife of a U.S. Marine, Cheryl served as a liaison between base Commanders and Marine Corps families at various Marine Corps installations across the United States. In 2005 Ms. Brossette began her carrier as a Paralegal by earning an Associate in Applied Science degree. In her time as a Paralegal Cheryl has worked with several law firms and has served as a Deputy Clerk for the County Clerk of Cottle county Texas.
Cheryl joined the drum corps world in 2010 when her oldest son became a member of Forte Drum & Bugle Corps from Grande Prairie, Texas. Cheryl spent two years with Forte as a member of the corps’ Administration Staff, serving as Volunteer and Fund Raising Coordinator. Cheryl has also spent time as a volunteer and cook for the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps.
Cheryl and her husband Lee live in White Deer, Texas where Lee is the Band Director and Cheryl works as a substitute teacher. Cheryl and Lee have two sons, Jeremy and Christopher and a Dachshund named Noelle.
